With the overwhelming backing of members, Club 1872 relaunched as The Rangers Fans Heritage Trust in the summer of 2026.
A new Board of Directors – comprising Euan Macfarlane, John Brown, Alan Fraser, Iain McHolm and Scott Carline – was appointed ahead of the launch and each member is passionate about helping generate funds for heritage projects at Rangers Football Club.
Club 1872 was initially conceived as a Share-buying organisation with involvement in community projects as a secondary concern.
The club ownership landscape has changed in recent years though, and again with the backing of our members, we have decided to change focus, branding and direction.
Our main goal is now to work collaboratively with Rangers and provide money for key projects in and around Ibrox Stadium.
It’s a new beginning and we are genuinely excited about our partnership with the club on initiatives that will not only benefit fans right now, but also future generations.
We would love as many supporters as possible to join us on this exciting journey.
Like you, Euan, John, Alan, Iain and Scott all share a great love for Rangers and together we can play an important role in the club’s future.
Ibrox is known worldwide, it’s a special place that means so much to so many people and we were extremely proud to provide £220,000 to the club exclusively for heritage projects at the stadium in early 2026.
Our mission is to increase funding for future projects agreed with Rangers and although that is our number one priority, we also intend to participate in any future share issues announced by the club.
Supporters joined for a variety of reasons and we want to assure those who favour us increasing our shareholding, that we will certainly do so if the opportunity arises and members agree.
£270,000 was provided in the most recent share issue which, once again, demonstrates our commitment in this area.
