I was an active member of my Rangers Supporter’s Club for many years and later joined its committee at a time when the club was facing serious financial difficulty and the risk of becoming defunct.
Working alongside fellow members, I helped lead a series of fundraising initiatives and collaborative efforts with neighbouring RSCs. Together, we stabilised the finances of our own club and supported others, ensuring they were placed on a far stronger footing for the future.
I was also part of the group that established the Rangers Supporters Clubs Working Group, which successfully mobilised RSCs across the country to unite and press for a stronger voice within Rangers.
This work ultimately led to the group joining with the RSA, significantly strengthening the RSA’s influence and representation within the club.
Although I stepped away from my own RSC in 2022 for personal reasons, the experience shaped my understanding of supporter engagement and the importance of organised, constructive representation.
Professionally, I began my career as an apprentice electrician and, through selffunded development and determination, progressed to Contract Manager and now Project Engineer with one of the world’s largest energy distribution companies.
These roles have equipped me with strong communication skills, the ability to present ideas clearly, and the confidence to introduce new ways of thinking when needed. I am solution focused by nature – I look to resolve challenges rather than assign blame – and I believe this mindset will be a valuable asset to Club 1872.
I am equally comfortable taking the lead on a task or supporting others when they are leading. This flexibility has served me well throughout my career, allowing me to work effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds and build strong, respectful relationships.
I will bring that same collaborative approach to the Rangers Fans Heritage Trust board, always with the aim of delivering the best outcomes for the Rangers support.
