The Rangers Fans Heritage Trust, previously known as Club 1872, exists to provide responsible, long-term funding to Rangers Football Club.
A new, dynamic Board full of energy, creative thinking and fresh ideas has been appointed and they are all extremely proud to drive the organisation forward with a Heritage Project focus.
Euan Macfarlane is joined by John Brown, Alan Fraser, Iain McHolm and Scott Carline and these lifelong supporters are passionate about helping deliver tangible community improvements in partnership with the club.
In early 2026, with the backing of 92% of our members, we transferred £220,000 to Rangers as the first step in this exciting collaboration.
The money is ring-fenced exclusively for use on projects in and around Ibrox Stadium and were agreed after positive discussions with Rangers staff and our Board.
They include enhancements to the Trophy Room and other key rooms within the Bill Struth Main Stand, protective waxing of the John Greig/Ibrox Disaster Memorial Statue and the installation of lighting at the Walter Smith Statue.
The restoration of paintings in the Blue Room and the creation of a new display in the corridor outside the Trophy Room and Member’s Lounge is also in the initial scope of works.
Supporters who visit Ibrox on matchdays or for tours will be able to see the excellent work undertaken so far and this is just the start of a fruitful partnership.
However, we are also mindful of the views of fans who initially signed up with a share-buying preference so we will continue our Shareholder relationship with Rangers by continuing to fund share-buying opportunities as they arise.
To that end, we were delighted to provide £270,000 to the club for shares during the summer of 2026.
